This is a Russian video showing the Escort HK 416 GBB. I think these things are pretty cool, detail wise they are awesome. However I have a few problems with these type of GBB guns. Having played paintball for so many years I see battery operated AEG’s as a much easier and mass-marketed type solution. When you run a GBB style Airsoft gun you than have to take into account designing the stock to fit around a C02 cylinder or take into account setting up a input nozzle for a HPA system. Then as a player you have to find a why to then carry the HPA system not to mention the hassle of having these “power sources” refilled at you local scuba pr paintball shop. Also typically I can find another player on my squad that can lend me a battery if mine dies, or I can carry and extra on on me. This is not true with HPA or Co2 like systems. I’d much rather see the designed incorporate the “blow back” effect using batteries rather then gas.
As neato as a GBB rifle is, the external air tank is what kills it for me. It kind of defeats the point of a carbine. Now for something bigger, like the M60, thats great, but not on small rifles and such.
