Well I am back in the good ole US from my fishing trip in Mexico (San Carlos) and while the fishing was not that great – the food, ocean, ladies and ice cold beer was. Of course as soon as I get off the plane in Guaymas I get a phone call letting me know that the forums got majorly hit by a bot. Claymore did the best he could to clean up the posts and then I did what I could from my phone south of the border. The basic problem is the CAPTCHA system in PHPBB has been exploited for the last few months. This allow bots to register and verify themselves. it now seems the modifications I had made to the CAPTCHA system are no longer sufficient. I will be working on solving that issue this week. Sorry for the mess, but hopefully with the donations coming in we can move to vBulletin in the late summer.
