My friend told me about this PBS show called Carrier, it follows the crew of the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier on a deployment somewhat early on in the war. It is an awesome show, and it really gives a glimpse at life on board a "Big ass floating high school" as one person put it haha. I would definitely recommend you check it out if you got some spare time, there's 10 episodes about an hour a piece and they are all on HULU.

Think you can catch it on PBS's website as well, I watched it when it came out about a year ago really great show, but man it makes you wonder WTF people sign up to be on an Aircraft carrier unless your a pilot!
