Upgrades for Echo1 M8A3 Range/Accruacy help for someone with below basic understanding of upgrades

1 Increased Range
1.5 Increased Accuracy
3 Increased ROF
Yes I know my listing is not in exact numerical order, that is on purpose. The range and accuracy increase are tied to each other in my mind, I want both equally. While an increase in ROF would be nice but is not the true priority.
The gun shipped to me with about 410 FPS and has dropped to around 380-390 the last time I chrono'd it if I am remembering correctly. So I dont want it to jump above 400 if at all possible.
I have only been playing for about 6 months so I am very new to upgrades and the like. I dont know what my gun needs to get what I am looking for. And I dont know what it needs on general principle (for instance I have read about shims and gears needing to be replaced sometimes because some of them are plastic and I dont know how this effects the gun or if it is needed in my gun). It should probably go without saying that I also have no clue how to install these upgrades either.
I have read a little bit and it seems like what I am looking for would be a new hopup and tight bore barrel. I just dont know what exactly I will need in the way of those. For instance do I need a new hopup unit, or a bucking or what? Any help would be appreciated.
This isnt something that I have to do instantly, but it is something that I want to start working toward.

Make sure you are setting your hop-up correctly before you play and that the adjustment is not slipping during play.
Make sure your barrel is not bent and is clean.
A few easy thing to help increase performance:
Tight Bore barrel for accuracy and possibly increased range. From my reading 450mm seems to be the best length after that you really see no marked improvement. Barrel makes I trust are PDI and KM in mics 6.04 - 6.01.
Looking into replacing the Hop-up bucking or unit for possibly increased range. KWA 2GX bucking is excellent. KA makes a good all metal hop-up unit that has multiple o-rings to help seal. I have read both good and bad things regarding the Madbull ultimate hop-up unit. Rowdy has one in his defender and it seems to being working well.
If you are running a 8.4v you can knock up to a 9.6v battery for increased ROF. Also installing a MOSFET with active breaking can help along with switching to ultra Deans for your connectors. (All my AGEs use Deans)
After that you start having to replace GB internals, gears, motors, etc...

One popular idea is to have two guns (or an ICS with 2 uppers) and run one of those as your standard field rifle, and the other as a DMR. That way you have a backup AND you can play your chosen flavor of the day.

For instance a tightbore barrel makes sense to me, http://www.airsoftgi...roducts_id=1233 is one I was looking at. But I dont know how involved switching that out for my barrel now is, or if it is the correct length. It says M4, which I assume is basically what my gun is though I could be wrong.
As for the hop up bucking or unit. Again I dont know the difference and wouldn't have a clue on installing it. Thanks for the specific recommendation though

i believe the barrel is an easy split the recievers, pull the charging handel, and the barrel assembly should pull out... not sure (im probably wrong, but i know its simple) here is a link for a disassembly video .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCxQ2ZZiiKc&feature=channel_page (copy and paste it) its from Evike, but useful none the less. hope this helps. and when you get the barrel out, you can just measure it then.

If you're in Tulsa, send me a PM, we can get together and I can show you how to do all that.
