EA Gear Turbo Fan Goggles

I was looking around today and ran across these EA Gear Turbo Fan Goggles. The pictures show Ess goggles. Thinking about trying some. Just wondering if anyone has any of these or has any thoughts. Also any thoughts on EHobbyAsia. I know JP has used them before. I think.

I was considering trying a pair myself after seeing them in person, my only concerns where the quality of the lenses and customs seizing them do to the fact there are branded as ESS? Anyone own a pair of these?

My nephew just received his pair from EhobbyAsia. He is going to try them out tomorrow so I can let you know what we think of them. I use to own a pair fo Wii goggles which are just like the EH Goggles w/turbo fan and they worked great and were also $36. However, at an airsoft event a kid wanted them more than me so I sold them to him. I will let you all know on how my nephews work. It takes about 10days for shipping on them from EhobbyAsia.

I use the ESS Turbo Fans and they work good. They better, for what they get for them. I had one failure and ess just sent me a brand new pair. Good people @ESS in Utah. Looking forward to a review on the EA's.

eHobbyAsia is awesome, shipping normally takes around 5 days. I literally ordered items on the 20th from HK and had them in my hands the afternoon of the 24th.

As long as these are high quality replicas of the ESS Turbo fans I think you will be alright. However I think the palces you don't buy cheap in airsoft are:

Battery
Charger
Radio
Eye Protection
Boots

So I say go for it, if you do not like them I am sure you can sell them to someone else on the forums.

IMO they are not a bad gamble for the money. One person buy them and do a review.

Okay, we went ahead and tried his goggles out,,,fan works great. When on high its just a little louder than my ESS goggles. The EA goggles will have ESS on them. If you have held and worn ESS goggles you will notice that the EA is a cheaper quality, but heck for $36 they are deffinetly worth it. I think he made a good choice in purchasing the EA Goggles w/turbo fan. Len's are pretty discent as well. Comes with smokey installed and clear as an extra.

I've had the same pair of ESS Profile Turbofans for over 5 years, same set of tinted and clear lenses...Yea, they are recommended. Only the Real McCoy though, Chinese clone stuff has a reputation for having poor quality material and proper material spec. I'd spend the extra money in a heartbeat for a new set of ESS goggles. One of the Top 5 Airsoft investments I have ever made.

Are you willing to do a ballistics test on them? Fire a few bbs at very close range to test the lens durability?

Good thinkin' Moosedog. Everybody needs to know that critical test on them, because if they're good for $36.00 then there's going to be alot of players using them when word gets around, if they're safe. I like my real ESS goggles alot, and am thinking of adding a fan to them soon.

Are the G Wii Power Fan Airsoft Goggles ( OD ) HMG0149
ANSI rated? Are these goggles safe to wear and will they stop a .25 gm 6mm BB from a 400 fps AEG at close range?

Okay guys, we tested my nephews pair of EA Goggles w/Turbo Fan. As you all know, most things are made in China. The EA Goggles come in a ESS box from Sun Valley, ID...exact box as my ESS goggles came in. My nephew was shot at about 15 to 20 ft away, didn't even put a scratch on the lens. The downfall to the EA goggles is the battery compartment and switch is a cheaper quality than on my ESS in which we have to send his pair back. I think its just a short in the switch and I have talked to some people that bought the ESS goggles and they have had some switch problems as well. So for $36 I think he got a great pair of goggles except having to send back cause of bad switch.

Everyone can be their own judge, but I really think ESS makes the EA goggles just to the specs of Ehobbyasia. All paperwork inside the box has the ESS phone #'s and address to contact them if any problems.

I just got a pair of these as well (about $50 shipped). The fan works great on both low and high, and all the positive things said by Snake Eyes I will corroborate. I moved the rest of this post to the reviews forum.
