A while ago I posted a picture essay covering the PJ’s over in Afghanistan by Michael Yon. I just ran across the “Pedros” video on a new gear forum — GearWhores and figured I’d pass it along to you all. Once again I can never thank the men and women of our armed services enough for their sacrifice. The Long Haul I’ve been to Afghanistan eight times in the last 18 months. My apartment is slowly taking on the look of a caravanserai. I have more friends in Kabul than Manhattan. My mind is full of snippets of Dari, counterinsurgency strategy and half-remembered warlords, major and minor. My son – not yet quite born [...] An amazing picture essay by Michael Yon who is embedded with Air Force PJs in Afghanistan, well worth the read. |
